ST DOMINIC?S COMMUNITY RESPONSE PROJECT CLG INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR
THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

RESEARCH AND DATA OFFICER

This position is a **Apply on the website** month fixed term position
based in HSE National Social Inclusion Office, Stewarts Care, Mill
Lane, Palmerstown, Dublin **Apply on the website**.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

* A National Framework of Qualitifactions (NFQ) level 9 (or higher)
academic award (which has included a research dissertation) in public
health, epidemiology, (health-related), social science, or an
equivalent discipline.
* Experience managing and analysing data to inform decision making
and developing information management processes for outcomes
measurement
* Experience of working within a performance management role and /
or functioning within a multidisciplinary team
* Knowledge and understanding of the nature and principles of Social
Inclusion and its interaction within the wider health system and
externally to the HSE
* Knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA)
Standards as they relate to the role and HSE protocols relevant for
implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the
role.

* Experience working in a health/social science/behavioural research
role that has involved a number of research projects and included the
following:

* Completing surveillance, research and evaluation studies including
participation in peer reviewed research publications
* Experience validating, analysing and presenting data from
surveillance, research and evaluation studies
* Systematic searching for evidence, assessing level and quality
synthesising findings and limitations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Development and coordination of national evaluation frameworks
* Work closely with team members across various remits to support
regular reporting requirements including monitoring and reporting of
national programme outcomes.
* Design and coordination of research projects, including
preparation of applications for Ethics Committees
* Writing of research and evaluation reports

Each candidate must possess the requisite knowledge and ability
(including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of
the duties of the office. They must have the competencies outlined in

SALARY: Grade VII, HSE Clerical Officer Pay scale.
